Joanne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 15 years of experience supporting young adults and adults through life’s challenges. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and questions about purpose and direction.
Fluent in English and Haitian Creole, Joanne works with clients from diverse backgrounds. She values creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. She recognizes that each person brings unique experiences, circumstances, and goals to therapy.
Joanne’s approach is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in empathy and cultural awareness. She uses supportive therapy, cognitive reframing and refocusing, and empowerment to help clients better understand what they’re experiencing, explore patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and recognize their ability to make meaningful changes.
