About Joanne

Joanne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 15 years of experience supporting young adults and adults through life’s challenges. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and questions about purpose and direction.

Fluent in English and Haitian Creole, Joanne works with clients from diverse backgrounds. She values creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. She recognizes that each person brings unique experiences, circumstances, and goals to therapy.

Therapeutic Approach

Joanne’s approach is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in empathy and cultural awareness. She uses supportive therapy, cognitive reframing and refocusing, and empowerment to help clients better understand what they’re experiencing, explore patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and recognize their ability to make meaningful changes.

Joanne believes therapy should be tailored to each person rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. She works with clients to build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, gain clarity, and find practical ways to move forward at a pace that feels right for them.
